Mission Statement
Lawand Tourism is bound by its mission statement of offering, to both the travel trade and the traveling public in the Arabian Gulf, an appropriate, comprehensive and convenient tourism platform, with service levels that are consistently the highest in its industry.
History
Lawand Tourism was incorporated in Australia, in July 1995, playing an instrumental role in pioneering Australian tourism in the Arabian Gulf and has since continued to evolve, remaining by far the most prominent Australian Inbound Tour Operator active in the Middle East, providing quality land arrangements tailored for the regional markets.
Lawand Tourism set up its own permanent Regional Marketing and Support Office in Dubai, in 1996, which became responsible, region-wide and all year round, for planning and implementing marketing activities and for providing support for its partner Travel Agencies.
Lawand Tourism opened its Lawand Lounge in the heart of Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast, in 1998. Its purpose was to provide the Middle Eastern traveller with a home-away-from-home environment, offering a wide range of tailor-made services. This lounge, continuously upgraded, has become an integral part of the destination for the Middle Eastern traveller.
Lawand Tourism Dubai was appointed, in early 2000, the Regional PSA for Star Cruises, the leading Cruise Line in Asia-Pacific and the first Global Cruise Line.
Lawand Tourism strategically expanded its product to include, in late 2003, quality land arrangements in New Zealand and the Pacific Islands and in early 2005, quality land arrangements in each of Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand thereby offering its partner Client Travel Agencies in the Middle East a consistent and comprehensive set of services for the majority of East-bound travel.
Lawand Tourism opened its own permanent Marketing Liaison Offices in Riyadh, in early 2003 and then in Kuwait, in early 2005. These offices became responsible, in their respective markets, for all marketing activities of Lawand Tourism and for providing destinational information to both the travel trade and the traveling public.
Lawand Tourism was appointed, in mid-2007, a Regional PSA for NCL (Norwegian Cruise Liner), the champion of Free Style Cruising in Europe and North America.
Lawand Tourism made two bold moves, during 2009, aimed at catapulting it well into the future: first, it invested heavily in a state-of-the-art online reservations system positioning it at the forefront of the latest industry trends and then, it established in Bangalore India, its own full-fledged back office, housing its product team, its reservations team, its IT team, its accounting team and its Human Resources and Administrative team. These strategic moves now generate efficiencies and cost-effectiveness that give Lawand Tourism a sustainable competitive advantage that is unique among its peers.
Lawand Tourism will keep evolving progressively, despite its continuous position as the dominant player in its field.
